Texas EV Alliance is a leading organization in Texas focused on expanding electric mobility and driving the policies and actions that will electrify the state. We partner with national, state, and local entities and the community to promote policies and projects that increase access to electric vehicles and encourage adoption.

The Texas EV Alliance aims to accelerate electric vehicle adoption in Texas.
Our Whys
Texas EV Alliance aims to:
- Protect the U.S. auto industry as a national security asset.
- Reduce overall demand by using EV batteries to power homes, businesses, and microgrids during peak demand, and fairly compensating owners for the excess stored energy sold when the grid is stressed.
- Shift EV owners’ home charging to underutilized nighttime periods to reduce overall transmission and distribution costs.
- Promote energy independence.
Our History
Texas EV Alliance, originally know as TxETRA was founded in April 2018 to help develop and promote the policy and partnerships that will lead Texas into a clean, advanced electric transportation future. The Texas EV Education Project is a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization formed in 2020, which serves as the public education arm of TxETRA, our (c)(6) policy and advocacy organization.
