AUSTIN, TX – The Texas Electric Transportation Resources Alliance (TxETRA) family is excited to announce its rebranding to better reflect its mission of advancing electric mobility in Texas. The new names of the organizations are Texas EV Alliance, which operates as a 501(c)(6), and Texas EV Education Project, which operates as a 501(c)(3).
Along with the new names, the organizations revealed contemporary logos and refreshed websites that cement their unifying mission. The logos, created by Kaptiv8 Marketing, feature the state of Texas cut in half by a lightning bolt—symbolizing electrification—that appears to be moving across the state. The use of earth tones gives the logos a touch of Western flair, while the crisp, bold lines have a modern feel.
“Our new name is clear and concise, and directly establishes our position in the electric transportation space. Texas EV Alliance as a name, better communicates our position as Texas’s leading advocacy organization driving the transition across the state,” said Buzz Smith, Interim Executive Director of Texas EV Alliance.
Texas EV Alliance, formerly known as TxETRA, Inc., is a membership-based lobbying and advocacy organization that focuses on influencing policy, shaping legislation, and representing the interests of electric vehicle (EV) stakeholders.
“The new logo is a unique entry in the electric transportation space, with fresh colors capturing a Texas spirit. Appealing to all Texans, the logo highlights our mission to ensure that the benefits of electric transportation are available to all,” said Laura Morrison, Executive Director of Texas EV Education Project.
Texas EV Education Project, formerly known as the Texas Electric Transportation Resources Education Fund, is dedicated to providing educational resources, raising public awareness, and promoting the adoption of electric vehicles through research and strategic outreach.
In addition to the rebranding, both organizations have launched new websites: TxEV.org for Texas EV Alliance and TxEVEducation.org for Texas EV Education Project. These new sites feature updated resources and the latest information on EV initiatives and policies.
